If we have 50/50 custody, do I owe child support? The short answer is yes. You can still owe child support even if the parents share a 50/50 custody arrangement. The child support is based upon the incomes of the parents, expenses for the child, for health insurance and daycare, as well as extraordinary expenses.
The formula for child support can result in you paying child support, even when you share custodial time equally with the child or children.
