It's not uncommon in an absolute divorce, but there are a lot of different documents that need to get filed in a very precise time frame for one of the documents to have missed the deadline, or to have been admitted in error. If the divorce didn't go through, we always can go back and refile the documents and make sure that we get the timelines right the next time through.
Unlike other litigation, if you go to court and the judge says, I won't give you the relief you're requesting and the case is over, with a divorce, you're always allowed to go back and get the paperwork corrected. So while it may be frustrating, it's not the end of the case. You just have to go back through and get everything done correctly.
