Matthew received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Management and Society from UNC Chapel Hill. Since his admission to the North Carolina State Bar, Matthew has exclusively practiced family law, including separation, divorce, child custody, child support, postseparation support, alimony, equitable distribution, and domestic violence. He has successfully represented client’s in Wake County and other surrounding counties.

Matthew understands the importance of communicating with clients and makes sure clients are informed throughout all stages of their legal matters. He also values settling matters and resolving disputes outside of court by engaging in negotiations, participating in mediations and arbitrations, and drafting agreements.
During law school, Matthew externed with the Honorable Justice Newby at the North Carolina Supreme Court and the Honorable Judge Worley at the Wake County Family Court. He also was a student attorney through the Campbell Law Senior Law Clinic and a student advocate through the Campbell Law Mock Trial Team.
